Easy-to-read guide

This was a project requested by Plena Inclusión, the organization that represents people with intellectual or developmental disabilities in Spain. It was carried out in collaboration with the Cooperativa Altavoz and consists of the adaptation to easy-to-read of a Personalized Employment Guide for people with many needs.
During the whole process we had a group of evaluators with intellectual disabilities who were in charge of evaluating all the texts and images.
As the guide targets people with many difficulties (even people who can not read), this had to be very visual. To this end, we created a story with three characters: Mateo, the person with intellectual disability who seeks employment; Luis, the support person; and Marisa, the employer.
During the document, these characters help to read through explanations of some of the terms that have been considered more difficult to understand.
